The glass teapot, comes with an infuser allowing you to brew the perfect tea. When you first add water, and turn on the machine, the system will immediately start to boil the water. Depending on how much water you have in your tea maker, it can take 5-18 minutes to fully boil. 18 minutes is the duration if the tea maker is filled to capacity at 4.5 liters. The tea maker will beep 3 times to notify you that the water is now boiled and ready to be consumed. The samovar has a stay warm function that keeps water hot at 80 degrees. If the temperature falls below that, the system will go back into boil mode. Temperature drop typically happens if you add more water. It is imperative to only use filtered water with this samovar to ensure no mineral build up occurs. Some filtered water does not remove all hard water components, so you may see a "white" build up from your water. To remove those, we recommend washing your unit every 2 weeks with 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water, bring to a boil a few times and then rinse out. This should remove all hard water build up. Again, this is only necessary, if you see a white film build up on the base. This is purely due to the quality of water used, and has nothing to do with the system. Regular samovar users, are familiar with this. You will find the same issue you in your regular water kettle.
