It has a square neck so this powerhead is not universal-only working with the Beam 50814 Ultra Electric Hose and the 050931 Beam 2G Electric Hoses. This powerhead provides maximum cleaning efficiency on many carpet styles whether the carpet height is lower or higher because of a 3-position carpet height adjustment. The indicator lights on the powerhead show what height level it is operating at. The swivel neck allows the powerhead to be maneuvered easily into tight areas while the LED headlight illuminates the cleaning path. When the handle release pedal is stepped on it releases the handle and wand from the upright position while vacuuming and locks them back into place when returned to the upright position. The Beam Q features a Poly V5 powerhead belt that will not stretch or slip and is very durable, rarely needing to be replaced. When a rug fringe or object jams the brushroll, the powerhead shuts off automatically to protect the motor.
