Easy 5 step process to install

1.In most cases the previous touch sensor has permanent wire nuts, cut the wires to remove them and strip back to the raw copper wire (If they are removable wire nuts twist counter clockwise to remove, and the new orange wire nuts will turn clockwise for new wire connections) on both the wires from the plug and the wires from the lamp. (black and white on instructions).

2. If there is an existing yellow touch wire in some cases it is easier to cut and strip the yellow as to use a wire nut to join (yellow) wire from box. Use your own judgement you can always remove the bolt from lamp base and connect the yellow wire metal circle to the touch surface as intended. (see options 1 and 2 on instructions)

3. Refer to wiring diagram while connecting each wire. Starting with lamp socket wire connect either wire to (White) wire from sensor box.

4. Connect the only remaining lamp socket wire to either wire coming from the plug and to the (black) wire from the sensor. (3 wire connection)

5. Connect the (Red) wire from sensor box to the only remaining wire from power plug.

Makes your lamp, illuminated cabinet, mirror or any other device touch sensitive!! The Zing Ear TP-01 ZH control unit activates touch sensitive switching for incandescent lighting. The touch lighting dimmer module provides three intensity settings once integrated into an existing lighting system. This is the sensor that is used by OK Lighting and many others in their touch lamps. It will also work in most touch lamps that have the sensor in the base. It is rated up to 100 watts. Located in the base of the lamp the sensor controls the 3 power settings and turning the lamp on and off. A wiring diagram is on the back and wire nuts are included. The sensor measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches by 3/4 of an inch in depth. Touch lamps should not be used as nite lites and left on all the time. This does burn out the sensor prematurely. Lightning strikes, power surges, and brownouts can also a sensor to burn out.
